Skiing in Kelowna

In the winter of 2009 I was in Kelowna, BC, on a ski trip to Big White Mountain. It’s  a beautiful resort with 118 runs on over 700 acres of skiable terrain. They’ve been around for 45 or so years. At the time we were there, they’ve just added “Snow Ghost Express”, the longest 6-person high speed chairlift in Canada.

We stayed with another couple in a nice townhouse with a barbeque and a hot tub on a balcony facing ski hill.

Exploring Amsterdam

My memory of Amsterdam could be summed up by three words: Water, Bikes and Sex.

Water… and more Water

This might be the only city in the world that is better seen from the water. Anywhere you look, you see water.  The whole city is built on water and the impressive Amsterdam canal system provides a great way for people to get around the city.
